N & S Flooring Ltd are committed to constantly improving our environmental performance throughout our organisation.
We have created our own in-house environmental management system, which aims to ensure the ethical and sustainable procurement of all of our products. We also work closely with suppliers that adopt sound environmental practices,  sourcing local suppliers wherever possible.

Using sustainable and eco-friendly products from Polyflor, Heckmondwike and Forbo are three such suppliers who all operate environmental management systems which comply with the requirements of ISO 14001: 2004.
Through Polyflor and Altro Ltd, we have adopted the “Recofloor” vinyl take-back scheme, which enables us to recycle both clean vinyl off-cuts and uplifted materials.
We also work closely with Desso and Interface carpet tile manufacturers and other organisations, enabling us to recycle waste materials effectively.

All products used throughout our installation and preparation processes are examined closely and solvent-free environmentally friendly products are used wherever possible.
Our company endeavours to minimise waste through careful planning and selecting products that are most suited to the client’s requirements. We also encourage the selection of products with the best lifecycle values and those that can be obtained locally.

We strongly believe in reinvesting in the local community and environment and we support many local charities, schools and other worthy causes.
We also employ young school leavers through the excellent On Site Bristol Training Scheme, which assists with giving young people employment opportunities.

We aim to run an ethical and sustainable flooring business, which will hopefully benefit both our staff, clients and the the local community through cost savings and sustained future works.
